Covered Outdoor Classrooms
A roof, a floor and room for everyone, so an outdoor lesson stops being weather dependent.
- Made to measure
- Solid or clear roof
- Open or part-clad sides
- Posts set into the ground

[ What we build ]
An outdoor classroom only earns its place if a lesson can happen in it when the weather turns. Everything here is drawn, built and installed by our own team, sized for the class that will use it.
[ The range ]
A roof, a floor and room for everyone, so an outdoor lesson stops being weather dependent.
Our best known shelter, sized for a full class.
A tiered seating area for whole-class teaching outdoors, with a storytelling throne, a reading pedestal and a rustic bench.
Raised timber staging for assemblies, performances and sports day.
A carved chair that becomes the focal point of the space, and often part of the school's identity.
A proper place to sit for Forest School sessions, whatever the ground is like.
Quieter corners for small groups, planting and a bit of shelter.
[ How they are built ]
Galvanised steel posts are concreted into the ground and the timber legs sit over them, so the timber never sits in wet ground.
Locally sourced oak and sweet chestnut, alongside Douglas fir, larch and spruce, from managed forests.
Everything is finished in an oil-based product, and we recommend re-coating each spring.
Every structure is drawn by hand, to scale, before anything is cut.
[ Bilingual as standard ]
We carve and router in Welsh and English, and we make a bilingual range of learning panels and shapes used in schools across Wales. The Welsh is designed in from the start rather than added afterwards.

[ Who we build them for ]
Outdoor classrooms, stages and amphitheatres so a whole class can learn outside.

Everything we make is finished in an oil-based product, and we recommend re-coating each spring. That stops the timber cracking and splintering, keeps the water out and slows the algae that makes a surface slippery.
On a yearly maintenance plan we come back, inspect the timber, make good any minor damage and re-spray it. In year five we add an anti-fungal treatment.
[ How we work ]
We come to you, measure up and talk through what you need.
We draw it up by hand, to scale, and give you a fixed price.
Built by our own team in Ystrad Mynach.
Delivered and fitted on site by the people who made it.
We come back, inspect the timber and re-oil it, so it lasts.
